Holiday Happiness: Christmas in NYC

December 16, 2014

Hi Everyone! I hope you had a lovely weekend! We had a great, holiday weekend, which started off in NYC. There is no where like NYC at Christmas time!

Here we are in the cab on our way to the restaurant!

We took the train and got into the city right around lunch time, so we headed straight to Candle Cafe, which is an all vegan restaurant that we love! I started with cauliflower potato soup. This was the perfect way to warm up!

After that I had the kale salad which is topped with crispy capers. I also ordered avocado on the side. Yum! I order this salad just about everytime we go here.

Little A had the same soup along with "cheese" sticks and a "Peter Pan" smoothie which had chocolate almond milk and bananas in it. She LOVE Peter Pan now (how funny that I did too as a kid), so this smoothie really excited her!

After that we hit up FAO Schwartz, the most magical toy store in the world! ;)

Little A was enthralled, by the store. She left with a couple of little toys.

When we were done there, we walked to Rockefeller Center to see the Christmas tree.

The sites on the way were gorgeous. This is St. Patricks Cathedral.

This was in the window of Bergdorf Goodman.

And finally, the tree! My husband proposed here once upon a time.. :)

This was as close as we could get because of the mobs of people.

Walking back to the train, we enjoyed the Christmas sites in Rockefeller Center.

We had a very fun, memorable day!

On Sunday, we stayed in and relaxed (we walked almost 5 miles in the city, and I was exhausted!). But first, I ran to Fresh Press Juice Co for some lunch. This was their Peppermint Smoothie which was strawberries, bananas, fresh almond milk and peppermint essential oil.

I also had a shot of Fire Cider. I am planning on making my own batch this week!

I also had an Acai Bowl that was topped with pineapple and apples. Perfect!

I hope you all had a lovely weekend! XO
