Review: Butterfly Baby Organics

August 12, 2015

A few months ago, a lovely lady sent me an email asking me to try her products. I always happy to try stuff as long as they meet my "standards", meaning they must be natural, pure, healthy, plant based and organic or non GMO. Different types of lotions and potions are some of my favorite things to sample.

Butterfly Baby Organics are the products I'll be reviewing today. The lovely Aimie sent me a little sample package of mommy/baby/kid potions, some baby salve for Baby S, calming oil for Little A and stretch mark cream for moi.

I was so delighted by the beautiful packaging that I almost forgot a pic

First up, I was anxious to try the Nutrient Dense Stretch Mark Cream so I rubbed it on my very round (at the time) belly, chest and thighs. I am prone to getting stretch marks and although they fade a lot, I can still see them. I think I used this whole sample in less than a couple of weeks. The balm smelled amazing, was very rich and moisturizing and helped! I still have stretch marks after giving birth, but I'm sure if I was using this throughout my pregnancy, I would of had a lot less to deal with. Previously, I was using coconut oil, and again I think that helped a lot, but like I said, I'm prone to stretch marks. The balm seemed to have all the ingredients I needed: Organic Cocoa butter, Shea Butter, Organic Coconut oil, Organic Raw Hemp Seed Oil, Organic Beeswax, Vitamin E Oil,  Frankincense, lavender (Lavandula angustifolia), lemon (Citrus limon), Rosewood (Aniba rosaeodora), Geranium (pelargonium graveolens), palmarosa (Cymbopogon martinii),  Roman chamomile (Chamaemelum nobile), ylang ylang (Cananga odorata),  jasmine (Jasminum officinale), Coriander(coriandum sativum), and rose (Rosa damascena) therapeutic grade essential oils.

Up next was the Calm and Soothe Essential Oil for Little A. As sweet and innocent as Little A appears, she has a very wild, hyper side that usually comes out right before bedtime. She tends to have a lot of energy (I blame her NOT S.A.D diet for that) and even though I make her run around outside, play at the park, and keep active, she doesn't nap and doesn't get tired. So right before bed I rubbed the oil on her neck, shoulders and feet. She was out! I was pretty excited about this so I used it until the bottle ran out. While it didn't work like that every single time, she was more interested in sitting down and reading a book before bed. Plus she loved the ritual of getting the oil rubbed on her and it smelled amazing!

Finally, I had to wait awhile to try out the Diaper Eczema Salve since Baby S wasn't born until 3 weeks ago. I never had a problem with diaper rash or eczema with Little A and I hope it's the same with Baby S. So far, so good! I've been rubbing the salve in Baby S' heinie after changing her diaper a few times a day. I also used it on her peeling skin that she was born with (most babies have this since they shed a few layers in the womb). Not a sign of redness or rash and the peeling skin disappeared over night!

I say two thumbs up for all these products. I am very happy and grateful I got to review them. I hope you all will check out Butterfly Baby Organics here and follow Aimie on Instagram and Facebook.
