Preparing For My Pouchoscopy

At the end of the month I’m having an exam on my j-pouch. If you are new here, you can read my story here, but in short, I no linger have a colon due to to Ulcerative Colitis. Now, my small intestine plays the roll of my large intestine. With a jpouch, my body doesn’t absorb water as well as it use to so I tend to drink a lot of coconut water and eat a little more salt than the normal person (doctors orders! Hehe!). The nice thing is, nutrients are absorbed in the small intestine, so I don’t miss out there. Anyway, I haven’t had an internal exam in two years so I am super worried! I mean, I feel amazing! But, I need to make sure my insides look the same. I had asked on Instagram if you guys want to see a post with what I am doing to help make sure my insides feel as good as I do, so here it is!

 


-Oregano oil for two weeks straight once a month since May.
-Aloe Vera Juice (George’s Aloe) every morning on an empty stomach.
-VSL3 Double Strength each morning in my smoothie. The week before the exam, I’ll up it to 2 a day.

-Drinking Teami Profit tea and Nettles a few days a week.

 


-Lots of fruit: bananas, wild blueberries, cherries, pineapple.
-Harmless Harvest Coconut Water one big bottle every two days.
-Healthforce Antioxidant Extreme, Greener Grasses, and Vitamineral Greens powders.
-CBD oil daily. 
-Breathing exercises as often as possible.
-Yoga and stretching nightly and in the morning upon waking.
-Thinking positive thoughts.
-Upping my omega-3’s with Omega-Zen3 + EPA.

 


-Turmeric in my lemon water every day.
-Spending time soaking in the hot tub.
-Getting sleep. Or at least trying! Not easy while co-sleeping with Little S.
