You all know how much I love The Raw Food World, especially their 'At Cost' items, which come out monthly! Anyway, here are my weekend eats!
I did some Whole Foods shopping this weekend (while T stayed home with Baby S), this Watermelon Water was on sale.. Little A and I both got one to enjoy.
Also on sale, Heidi Ho LIVE Plantbased Cashew Cheese! I saw Heidi Ho on Shark Tank and met her at the Vegetarian Food Festival so I am a fan! The cheese is very good. So far I like the Smoky flavor the best. This will be good in salads this week.
T had off of work on Friday so we took Little A to the local (very small) amusement park. There was hardly anyone there so we got to enjoy the rides without any rides. Little A has become quite the dare devil and goes on some crazy fast rides now. I am not a fan, so I send T to go on them with her. Ha ha! If you follow me on SnapChat you may of seen some clips from that (my name is LaurenGinger12). On the way home we stopped in town for some falafel! Once in awhile, I have got to have it! Definitely a rare treat as they are (GASP) fried! ;) But I am all about balance, which is also why I had mine on a salad with fermented carrots and turnips, cucumbers and olives.
Finished my Friday with some hydration while nursing Baby S to sleep. This was a huge mason jar of coconut water. So refreshing! I always feel rejuvenated after drinking coconut water. Anyone else notice this? It's like I am a new person. A well hydrated one! ;) Could be m j-pouch since I have a risk of dehydration.
Speaking of hydration, on Saturday we ran some errands near Whole Foods. Lucky for me they have a juice bar right at the door! I grabbed some fresh squeezed orange juice that Little A and I shared.
I also had their vegan "Fiesta Roll". This is my new favorite roll (next to the salad rice paper roll that I usually get). This had black rice, sweet potato, avocado, scallion and cilantro. Yum!
On Sunday, I had a mean craving for an Acai Bowl, so off to Fresh Press Juice Co we went. I also had their raw granola bars and I brought their date balls home to have during the week.
We had my Mother-in-law come visit on Sunday, so I put out this gorgeous veggie platter and hummus.
Little A and I made watermelon pops later on. I just blended watermelon and poured them into these cool molds from Amazon. On The Raw Food World, they made Pop-pop's recently with these molds. I am planning on making their recipe with Little A today.
They turned out delicious and really adorable, as you can see!
