Winter Solstice Celebration

December 23, 2015

Happy Winter Solstice!

What a magical time this holiday season has been. With two kids, the fun is endless. This weather has been really putting a hop in my step and I'm just loving this season on all levels.

I thought it would be fun to celebrate winter Solstice this year. When Little A woke up, I started telling her all about it. I told her I had some fun plans for us which started with making paper snowflakes.

After that she had school and while she was there I took Baby S to the library to get some fun Winter themed books.

After school I had a small gift waiting for her. An Elsa notebook (this was a Christmas present I had bought for her anyway), a couple crystals (they are mine, I had a few of the same ones. She loves looking at my stones so I thought she would love to have her own "magic rocks".

We hung our snowflakes on the window, read the books I borrowed and snuggled in bed. What a fun magical day!

Did you celebrate Solstice? I know there are many traditional celebration ideas, but we made up our own. :)
