Happy Summer Solstice and Happy Belated Father's Dad! I hope you had a nice weekend!
Friday, Baby S and I went to Whole Foods for some groceries. We shared her first green smoothie. I was surprised she could sip with a straw because last time I tried (maybe a month ago) she could not. Anyway, this was pineapple, spinach, coconut water, mango and banana. We both liked!
After picking up Little A at school, we headed to the shore. T had to work up near our house so we took a little overnight trip to my parent's house. We ordered out dinner from Good Karma, an all vegan cafe near my parent's house. This is their Love Bowl: brown rice, black beans, kale, tempeh, hemp seeds and a thai coconut sauce.
Little A and I shared a gluten free brownie too.
Saturday morning we got up bright and early and headed to the beach. We snacked on fresh fruit and these yummy kale chips.
We also had homemade acai bowls for lunch. My mom and I made them.
Once we got back home to T, I made dinner of quinoa pasta, white beans, kale, tomato sauce and olives.
After that, we sat in our yard with the girls. I enjoyed an Obi Rootbeer water kefir (these are AMAZING!).
On Father's Day, we headed to a huge scenic garden center, but first, lunch! We hit up Deans Market. I had a hazelnut butter pitaya bowl. Wow-e was this good!
The happy Dad and his two shining stars.
For dinner T wanted to cook. He grilled us veggie burgers topped with sauteed onions and Kitehill Cheese on lettuce "buns" (for me, they had regular buns), baked potatoes and a cucumber tomato salad. So lovely!
That was our weekend! I hope to be back soon but Little A finishes pre-k this week (I can't believe it either), so I may be busy! XO
