Weekend Fun: Papa Ganache and Rutherford Pancake House

August 1, 2016

Hi! Happy August! I hope you had a nice weekend! We jammed a lot of fun into the two mostly rainy days we had.

On Saturday after dinner, we took a ride to Papa Ganache vegan bakery to grab some dessert. We all got gluten free vegan ice cream sandwiches that were so good! Well worth the rainy car ride!

Sunday morning we woke up bright and early to head to Rutherford Pancake House for breakfast. They have a ton of vegan items on their menu and most can be made gluten free too! We use to go there a lot pre kids, since it isn't close, we make the trip very rarely now. Baby S enjoyed her first out to breakfast experience. I brought her fruit and a green smoothie and she ate a few piece of my avocado.

T had vegan French Toast, Little A had vegan GF pancakes and I had the Popeye Tofu Scrambler which came with home fries and was cooked with mushrooms and spinach and topped with avocado. The tofu was perfectly seasoned. I also had fresh squeezed OJ which is always a nice treat.

On our way home we stopped at The Great Falls in Patterson.

This is such a beautiful spot to check out if you are in the area. I was saddened to see all the trash in the water though. Really a shame. :(

Later on I made a smoothie bowl for lunch: mangos, bananas, Sunwarrior Vanilla topped with Purely Elizabeth Granola, blueberries, coconut flakes and superfood almond butter.

Since it was pouring out most of the day, we stayed in. I got a lot done while the girls and T made a couch fort. I don't know who enjoyed it more, the girls or T!?

For dinner we had a simple dinner of veggie burgers. Mine was a Sunshine Burger on a GF roll with Bubbies Pickles, tomatoes, organic ketchup and mustard and onions. Pretty EPIC!

How was your weekend? Did you do anything fun? I can't believe it's August!
