Happy belated Halloween! I thought I'd give an update on the Switch Witch and how it went.
Our Ghostbusters Pumpkin
All ready to Trick-Or-Treat!
We took to the streets right after school for trick-or-treating. Little A was excited for her first trick-or-trick experience. She was nervous at first but I held her hand and walked her up to each door. She said "Trick-or-Treat!" Grabbed any random candy and said Thank you! We did this around our block for about 40 minutes.
When we got home Little A gave candy out. We had vegan non gmo candy for the kids. Surprisingly I got it all at Target and for 25% off with the Cartwheel app (my favorite).
Here is a video of the candy and the Switch Witch arriving.
And here is what Little A got. The Switch Witch gave her a few Shopkins Pumpkins, a Monsters High Blind Box, a Num Nums, a Chef Shopkins container and Silly String. In case you don't know, Shopkins, blind boxes and blind bags are all small little toys that they can't see until they open them. It's a surprise to see which little figure you get. They are pretty cheap too (all under $5 each). They are great for stuff like this and stocking stuffers.
Happily playing with her Silly String before school.
She told me "I want the Switch Witch to come every year!" When I asked her what she thought about getting candy and picking it out she said she "didn't care, (she) was just picking out anything and not paying attention". I would of thought she'd be more interested in looking at the wrappers or asking questions about what kind each was, but the whole experience was as if it was never food to her. Not even an option. She was so excited for the Switch Witch that her mind never went there.
