Fairy Trail and Apple Picking

September 18, 2017

Hi! I hope you had a lovely weekend! It is still feeling like Summer here but we are enjoying more Fall like activities.

On Saturday morning, T took the girls to the Fairy Trail because I had to go to the dentist bright and early!

They had fun looking at all the fairy houses that fairies ;) have constructed along the path.

Little S was enjoying a bagel during the hike! Lol!

They brought their own stone to add to one of the houses.

After that, it was off to apple picking!

We found a place who uses IPM practices and non gmo crops. Unfortunately, there is no certified organic pick-your-own places in NJ but this is definitely close enough!

Beautiful day!

Little S wanted to reach high for just the right apple.

So of course so did Little A!

Pulling with all her might!

Little apple pickers took some samples along the way!

After that, we were starving! We headed to the Morristown Pancake House for some vegan brunch. I had the tofu scramble with Daiya cheese and peppers along with breakfast potatoes. Little A and Little S both had vegan pancakes and T had a veggie burger with fries. They have a ton of vegan options there and at the Rutherford location.

On our walk back to the car, we stopped in a chocolate shop with hopes to find some vegan chocolate. Lucky for us, they had a whole section of dairy-free cacao chocolate. I left with this fig bar. So good!

I hope you had a lovely weekend! See your Wednesday for my favorite tofu/tempeh recipe!
