Reflections of 2017

December 29, 2017

As much as I am looking forward to what’s ahead in 2018, I am always sad to leave behind 2017. This past year was one for the books for our family. Little A is now old enough to remember the fun times we had and Little S, is old enough to go on our adventures. I can only imagine what 2018 will bring with both girls understanding more every day.

2017 was the year of adventure! We took many road trips and visited so many new spots. We stayed in Ithaca for a family vacation plus we traveled to places in New York like Woodstock, New Paltz, Watkins Glen, Sleepy Hollow and more. We hiked and saw beautiful scenery. Walked up 100’s of steps to view stunning waterfalls. Ate lots of yummy vegan food. Just about every weekend was something new. Felt so fun and exciting to experience with the people I love the most— my family.

T and I grew stronger as a couple (as we do every year). We went on more date nights this year than we have in the 11 years we’ve been married! This has made a huge difference. Spending time alone with each other is vital for us.

Personally, my health has been great. I can not complain about anything except for that I need to work on relaxing more and staying present. I have actually gotten better at both of those things this year but there is room for improvement.

In 2018, I hope to continue with our family adventures, date nights, spending quality time with the people I love. I want to step up my game with my health and food and try to cut back (just a little) on the goodies and focus more on nourishing myself with the best foods.

Happy New Year!! xoxo
