Hi all! Now that it’s Wintertime, we aren’t having many fun, nature, outdoor, adventures and I am totally going through withdrawal! The only up side is that when we have to stay in because it’s too cold or snowy, we make the best of it! This includes games, arts and crafts, and my favorite, movie night!
Some of our favorites right now are Moana, Tangled, Frozen (both favorites since Little A was younger), Trolls, and I think we pretty much watched every kid Christmas movie out there this past season!
For our movie nights, we love to have snacks! Healthy snacks of course! Sometimes if we know we will be having a movie night, the girls will grab some organic, vegan, dye free candy from the bins at Whole Foods. I always go for the chocolate! One thing that is a staple is popcorn, of course! We prefer Skinny Pop when we don’t make our own. I came up with a delicious movie night recipe that I wanted to share.. In case you get snowed in anytime soon!
Popcorn Trail Mix (vegan, gluten free, kid-friendly)
One big bag of Skinny Pop Popcorn
1 bag of mini Dandies vegan marshmallows
1/2 a bag of mini chocolate chips (I use Enjoy Life)
Crushed peanuts (or nut of your choice)
Chopped pretzel bites
Put everything in a bowl and mix! Enjoy! Don’t forget to share!
