I hope you had a nice week! This past weekend, T and I got away on a date night. We went to Kaya’s Kitchen in Belmar, NJ. Kaya’s is an all vegan organic restaurant which is always a huge plus! All the food was amazing!
I started off with a Strawberry Kombucha that was one of the best I’ve had. I’m kicking myself for not asking who makes it. It was the perfect amount of fizz. Just the way I like it! (What’s Kombucha without carbonation anyway?)
We shared their tofu buffalo wings which were so good! The tofu was firm but chewy and had a great mouth feel. The sauce wasn’t out of control spicy, but just right and the dipping sauce had so many flavors. We need to recreate these!
Meanwhile, at my parent’s house.. The girls enjoying pasta and peas!
The temps were below zero, so we both had the French Onion Soup next. Mine was made gluten free. This was really good and nice and warming. Totally hit the spot!

For our entrees, I had a Jambalaya which had so many flavors and was just perfect! They had the option to add Tempeh, seitan, tofu, or veggie nuggets; I ordered without and just had the veggies which came over brown rice. T had the Seitan Pepper Steak which he liked, but he said he liked mine better!
We passed on dessert since the only GF option was a cupcake and to be honest, I am not a big cupcake person. ;)
We had a great night together with delicious food! Can’t wait for our next date!
