This past weekend was a long one! Little A was off of school Thursday, Friday, and Monday; Which meant we needed to do something that will keep both girls occupied! Most of her friends go away for the long weekend, but we decided to do a little trip to New York City instead!
We stayed in the city for 2 days, so we packed our days with lots of fun things! As soon as we got in, we headed to lunch at By Chloe.
By Chloe is a vegan “fast food” type of place. T and I both had the kale Caesar salad
Little A had Mac and “cheese” and Little S had a veggie burger with air fries.
Next stop was Times Square. Not my most favorite place in the city, but definitely where all the action is.
We went to the National Geographic Underwater Odyssey exhibit.
This was an interactive, virtual reality, no animals, aquarium type of place. There was lots of learning and we even did a kelp maze! The girls were scared at times (some of the 3D stuff was too real), but overall, we loved it!
What a great family experience!
Stopped in Times Square for this photo op!
After a little shopping in Times Square and visiting the huge Disney store there, we got to our hotel. This was our view!
We quickly freshened up and unpacked and then headed to our dinner reservation at Beyond Sushi.
Beyond Sushi is an all vegan sushi restaurant!
The girls started with edamame, I had the rice paper wraps, and T had the dumplings. We were instantly impressed with the flavors and uniqueness of the food.
This was a mix of their exotic rolls (and avocado rolls for the girls). Everything so good!
All the flavors and tastes! There were rolls I didn’t think would be good and they were amazing!
Nightime from our room!
Once we got back to the hotel (after a quick stop at Whole Foods for some room snacks), Little S fell asleep and T brought Little A ice skating in Bryant Park. She loved it!
I enjoyed a spiked Kombucha in the bath. Heaven!
Good morning, NYC! While the girls and i were still asleep, T ran out for breakfast. He brought me back a turmeric latte with oat milk from Gregorys Coffee.
He also brought goodies from Juice Generation including this gluten free vegan donut.
And of course, açaí bowls. He even got vegan gluten free pop tarts for the girls. No crazy ingredients either, I totally approved! Haha!
Saying goodbye to our hotel!
Next stop was Rockefeller Center. Where T proposed years ago!
St. Catherine’s cathedral. Such a beautiful church.
Don’t ask me why my pictures are being cut off, but our next stop was The American Girl store. Little A was in heaven!
After that, we went to the Gazillion Bubble Show.
I have never seen anything like this!
The pictures don’t really do it much justice, but the show was incredible!
We were covered in bubbles!
So much fun and the girls totally enjoyed it!
Our last stop was for lunch. We went to Blossom which use to be a favorite of T and I (before kids). The girls had “chicken” fingers and fries.
T and I had kale salads and garlic fries.
Such a fun little getaway! Making memories that will last forever!
