Mother’s Day Weekend

May 14, 2018

Happy belated Mother’s Day to everyone who is a mother to anyone, in anyway!

On Saturday morning, T brought me home an açaí bowl for breakfast from Fresh Press Juice Co. What a start to the weekend!

We headed down to the shore to visit all the Mom’s we wouldn’t be seeing on Sunday. We also got to stop off at Seed to Sprout for lunch! I had the Seed Salad of course!

T and I went on a date night when we got home. We went to a local spot that has a few vegan options. I started with a salad.

Then I had the Aloo Gobi with gluten free bread. So spicy, but so good!

On Sunday morning, I had the pleasure of getting a little bit of extra sleep while T took care of the girls. When I woke up, Little A had this beautiful card for me along with a plant that she made in school. She painted the pot and all. It is just so beautiful and special, it really made me day! Little S also made me a beautiful card with the help with Little A. I am truly blessed to be their mother!

We headed to the city to Candle 79 for brunch. We hadn’t been in about 5 years!! This was our favorite upscale vegan restaurant, but after having the girls, we have found it hard to go anywhere too fancy. Plus, we’ve been lucky enough to get some great vegan restaurants in NJ!

I started with the Mediterranean Salad which had grilled eggplant, chickpeas, and artichokes in it. Super good! I really was full after this!

T had the burrito which he said was amazing!

I also had the gluten free pumpkin seed black bean burger, sans bun to make it gluten free. So tasty!

T had the Caesar salad which he said was delicious as well.

The girls had pancakes and French toast. I didnt get a pic of the pancakes because Little S was too busy digging in by the time I got my phone out. They loved it!

They made me who I am!

I got these lovely flowers from T and the girls as well. They are “unicorn flowers”. So special just like this perfect Mother’s Day! Xo
