Atlantic City VegFest!!!!

July 23, 2018

We had 24 hours without our kids!!! Ahh!!!

T and I snuck away overnight to Atlantic City to attend the first annual Atlantic City VegFest! I was sooooo anxious and nervous about leaving the girls for that long (the first time away overnight), but they did great with my parents! They went to beach with my brother and sis in law, out for Italian ice, out to dinner and more! Makes me want to get away more often! Hehe! I missed them like crazy, but T and I had a blast and it felt like when we were dating! Our batteries were fully charged when we got back into town!

We stayed at the Borgata which was a short cab right away from the Showboat Hotel where the VegFest was being held.

Time to get our fill of vegan food!

There were many vendors, but not that many that were gluten free. I did start off with some gf donut holes from MoPweeze Bakery! Yum!

We tried and bought a bottle of this Eliya coconut water. This was very refreshing and in such a cute glass bottle!

T had TWO Gyro’s from Greens and Grains.

Had to get a shot of the Vegan Mermaid sign for the girls!

I was excited to hit up Yeah Dawg. They are the best!

Kombucha on tap while I explore the festival.

This was a Samoa donut with cookie dough on top! Gluten free too!!

We took a little walk on the boardwalk and stopped into the casino at the Hard Rock. We didn’t win big this trip, but did make some money to pay for some of the expenses! Hehe!

Kombucha in the boardwalk was amazing!

The gorgeous views on the boardwalk.

Huge Ferris wheel! We didn’t go on it, although now I wish we did!

The beautiful Atlantic ocean!

T just chillin, taking it all in!

Happy couple!

Just posing!

After we went back in, I had the other gluten free option, which was a stuffed pancake from The Vegan Mermaid.

We love The Chocolate Calling. They make the most adorable vegan Wonka Bars. This time I got this bar. So good!

After the festival, we went back to the hotel to play a few games in the casino and get ready for dinner. We had reservations at Los Amingos which is a Mexican restaurant with lots of vegan options.

I had the Paella which was made with soy chorizo and T had the most delicious tacos.

After dinner boardwalk fun!

The boardwalk was gorgeous at night as well. We hung out in the casinos and stayed up way past our bedtime! Haha! It was a great day and night. Can’t wait for next year!
